Gauloises cigarettes have over a century long history. First this brand appeared on the market in 1910. At that time these were dark tobacco cigarettes without filter. Almost forty years after, in 1950's, the brand launched a filtered version. This was not the last "upgrade" as in 1984 the tobacco company presented a version with light tobacco blend. American brands with their light blends were taken as an example. The result was called Gauloises Blondes - cigarettes with milder and smoother taste that is, however, still strong comparing with other brands.
All Gauloises cigarettes are known and famous for strong tobacco taste. Unfiltered versions are still produced and they are even stronger. These cigarettes are also available in lower tar version (these cigs are packed in red and golden with white packets).
Gauloises cigarettes won't let indifferent those smokers who like romantic and somewhat mysterious atmosphere of France. These cigs are traditionally loved by artists and writers.
